Ignis is the city in which most of the My Friends are Killers story takes place,
Heidi has described Inis as rather cold place,
"It's always cold here, no matter where you go in the districts it's either cold, rain or hail." - Skar
And judging by the description of the state of the buildings in the first chapter, it seems as if almost all the buildings in Ignis are half destroyed and well aged. Although the places that are inhabited seem well maintained and clean, Heidi has also stated through her writing that Ignis has hospitals and an assumed police station (See Chapter Fourteen)
